Aamod obtained bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from University of Pune in 2011. He then joined Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune for an integrated MS-PhD programme. He completed PhD in 2018 under the supervision of Prof. Sujit K. Ghosh, targeting synthesis and applications of ionic metal-organic frameworks (iMOFs). In 2019, he joined University of St. Andrews for a postdoctoral position with Prof. Russell E. Morris and Dr. Robert Armstrong. Currently, he is working in the NEXGENNA project which is focused on the use of MOFs as anode materials in rechargeable Na-ion batteries.
Outside lab, he is interested in cricket blogging and photography.
